Powerful Voices for Kids, the flagship program of the Media Education Lab at Temple University, is a model for integrating digital and media literacy education in K-8 schools. The program aims to strengthen kids' critical thinking skills, communicate well through media and technology,  and use their powerful voices to improve the quality of life in their families, communities, and the world. The Powerful Voices for Kids approach to media and technology integration includes a summer enrichment program for students, professional development for educators, an in-school media and technology mentoring program, community outreach, and research. Our model enrolls students, teachers, librarians, technology coordinators, administrators, and new and preserves educators in improving the quality of digital and media literacy education in K-8 environments.
