Healthy Roads Media was started in 2002 under a National Library of Medicine grant.  This project explores ways that information technology strategies may be useful in providing access to health information for hard to reach populations, particularly low-literacy and non-English speaking groups.  There are currently materials in 22 languages, 150+ topics and 5 formats (handouts, audio, multimedia (executable), web-video (flash) and iPod video).  All materials are free and all except the web-videos can be downloaded for off-line use.
